Good news for working policemen. Also, the families of police personnel who die prematurely will get financial assistance. A big step is being taken in this regard. Emphasis has been placed on providing financial assistance to the families of police officers in case of accidental death on duty or in an accident. An MoU is going to be signed soon with  Police and national level banks.

According to the information received from a senior police officer, many police officers of Commissionerate Police have died prematurely in the past few days. How many police officers have died due to accidents. After the policeman’s death, their family is facing a sad situation. A plan is being made so that the families who are dependent on their livelihood after the untimely retirement of policemen who immerse themselves in police service in the society do not have to face any financial problems. A departmental level effort has been initiated to provide financial assistance to the police so that his family is not disheartened by his untimely demise.

A meeting of a high-level board committee of NY Commissionerate of Police has been held. An MoU will be signed with a bank soon. Where steps are being taken to provide accidental death benefit to his family for accidental death or life insurance for accidental natural death. Some banks have made their proposals. For this, their aid amount and other benefits are being discussed. As a result, the department is preparing to take steps to ensure that all police personnel, from the lower level staff to the senior officers, can take advantage of this facility.

Constables and SPOs have been specially monitored. Along with this, such measures are being taken in view of the fact that the home guards, who are paid as daily duty, do not have any problems with their families.

Police Commissioner Sanjeev Panda said, “For us, we have to look at the problem of the police personnel of our department. In this, we have about 7 thousand police personnel and about 2 thousand home guards and such a decision is being taken by looking at the future. We are going to take a step. This will include all the policemen working in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, along with the staff working in the traffic police, battalion and reserve.
