J & K on alert after intel warns of terror attack on security forces.

Several areas of Jammu and Kashmir are on high alert following warnings from intelligence agencies about potential terror attacks on security forces. This alert comes in the wake of three recent terror attacks in the Jammu region within a span of three days.

The areas currently on high alert include Sunderbani, Nowshera, Domana, Lamberi, and Akhnoor in the Rajouri and Jammu districts. Security forces have been asked to exercise maximum alertness in these areas due to the possibility of fidayeen (suicide) attacks on their camps and installations.

On Tuesday, two separate terror attacks took place in Doda and Kathua, resulting in the death of a CRPF jawan and injuries to six security personnel. In Doda, terrorists attacked a joint checkpost of the 4 Rashtriya Rifles and police, leading to a fierce gunfight. The Kashmir Tigers, a terror group linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, claimed responsibility for this attack. In Kathua’s Saida Sukhal village, a civilian was injured in a terrorist attack, and during a subsequent search operation, two terrorists were killed.

Two days prior to these attacks, terrorists had fired upon a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, resulting in the death of ten people and injuries to 33 others. The Pakistan-backed group, The Resistance Front (TRF), claimed responsibility for this bus attack.

The recent spate of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir has put several areas on high alert. Security forces are taking necessary precautions to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of the region. It alleged that Modi is busy posting responses to congratulatory messages from Pakistani leaders Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on his third term but had no time to condemn the attacks in Reasi, Kathua and Doda in the past three days.

Congress Media and Publicity Department Chairperson Pawan Khera said, the “loud chest thumping” by Modi government has made national security a “casualty” in the past 10 years. “While innocent (people) suffer the consequences of cowardly terror attack.
