IRCTC’s “Bharat-Nepal Yatra” Commences on 20.09.2024

oIRCTC’s “Bharat-Nepal Yatra” departs today o­n September 20, 2024, covering key spiritual destinations in India and Nepal, including Ayodhya, Varanasi, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Kathmandu, and Pokhara.

oBharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Train: A 9-night, 10-day pilgrimage tour o­n train with AC I, AC II, and AC III coaches.

oSpiritual Destinations: The journey covers significant places including Ayodhya, Varanasi, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Kathmandu, and Pokhara, spanning about 4500 km.

oComfort & Amenities: The train offers fine dining, modern facilities, security features, and AC accommodation.

New Delhi 20.09.2024: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC), a “Mini Ratna (Category-I)” Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, is pleased to announce the commencement of its special “Bharat- Nepal Yatra” today.

“Bharat-Nepal Yatra” will aid us to further strengthen our cultural ties and enhance people-to-people contact between the two historically significant neighboring countries, India and Nepal.

The “Bharat- Nepal Yatra” begins from Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and offers a unique 9-night, 10-day journey to key spiritual locations across India and Nepal, aimed at fostering cultural ties and promoting spiritual tourism. The itinerary includes visits to:

Ayodhya: Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, and Ram Ki Paidi (Sarayu Ghat).
Varanasi: Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Ganga Aarti, Tulsi Manas, and Sankat Mochan Mandir.
Sitamarhi: Janaki Mandir and Punaura Dham.
Janakpur (Nepal): Janaki Mandir, Ram Sita Vivah Mandap, Dhanush Dham, and Parashuram Kund.
Kathmandu: Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, and Budhanilkantha (Sleeping Lord Vishnu).
Manakamana Temple.
Pokhara: Bindyabasini Mandir, Devi’s Falls, and Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave.

The tour offers travel o­n the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train, which is equipped with two fine dining restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles in AC I and II tier coaches, sensor-based washrooms, and foot massagers. The fully air-conditioned train provides three types of accommodation: AC I (Coupe and Cabin), AC II, and AC III. The train also has enhanced security features with CCTV cameras and Security Guards for each coach.

Boarding and de-boarding points for the tour are at Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin, Ghaziabad, Tundla, Aligarh, Etawah, and Kanpur.

The Bharat-Nepal Yatra package includes travel o­n the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train with accommodations in AC I, AC II, and AC III classes. Passengers will stay 5 nights in deluxe or budget AC hotels at Janakpur, Kathmandu, and Pokhara, and 4 nights in o­nboard rail coaches. Flight tickets between Janakpur and Kathmandu.

Onboard vegetarian meals will be served in the train restaurant for AC I and II passengers, while AC III passengers will receive meals at their berths. Offboard meals are provided at quality restaurants, and sightseeing is conducted via AC buses or tempo travelers. The package covers monument fees, local guides, travel insurance, IRCTC Tour Managers, o­nboard security, and all taxes.
