Adequate arrangements are being made to ensure that this process does not stop halfway after it starts.
Every day about one to one and a half lakh devotees come to the shrine while two and a half lakh devotees come on the festival day. The law minister said that efforts are being made to outline how they can be provided with free Mahaprasad while discussions are also going on with various donors. Suresh Mohapatra introduced this system when he was the Chief Administrator of Shrimandira. Due to the growing public support for this, the administration of the Shrimandira decided to conduct the free Mahaprasad service on a larger scale. For this, in the last financial budget of 2018-19, an expenditure of one and a half crore rupees was allocated. But after covid no more free Mahaprasad is given to devotees.
