In a concerted effort to strengthen community engagement and promote cleanliness, East Coast Railway (ECoR) held the Jan Bhagidari programme at several key railway stations across the region. The initiative underscores the theme "Swachhata Hi
Seva" (Cleanliness is Service), reflecting ECoR’s commitment to public welfare and environmental sustainability.
The General Manager of East Coast Railway, Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, participated in the Jan Bhagidari programme at Bhubaneswar Railway Station, where he actively engaged with stakeholders and community members. His involvement in the accompanying cleanliness drive highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in maintaining hygiene and sanitation in public spaces.
Additional General Manager Shri Mohes Kumar Behera represented ECoR at the Puri Railway Station, while Sr. Dy General Manager Shri B.K. Mishra participated in similar activities at Cuttack Railway Station. Their leadership emphasized the railway’s dedication to fostering community involvement and environmental responsibility.
The Jan Bhagidari programme also saw participation from various stakeholders and NGOs, who contributed significantly to the activities at different railway stations. This collaboration aims to create a cleaner and more engaging environment for passengers and the public.
Through initiatives like Jan Bhagidari and the Swachhata Abhiyan, East Coast Railway continues to promote a culture of cleanliness and community participation, ensuring that railway stations remain not only a mode of transportation but also a source of pride for the communities they serve.
