Assistant Commissioner Vinay Bhushan Tripathi was arrested. Jajpur City & GST Enforcement Assistant Commissioner has been arrested. The Vigilance Department has arrested him on charges of tax evasion. On Saturday, the Anti-Corruption Department (Vigilance) raided 5 places, including the official residence of Vinay Bhushan Tripathi, on charges of misappropriation of government funds.
Today, he was arrested by the Vigilance Department, Vinay Bhushan and his two accomplices. It is worth noting that Mr. Tripathi and the Enforcement Unit arrested a scrap dealer in Jajpur last May. Truck load The truck carrying scrap had goods worth Rs. 8 lakh and 89 thousand. The truck owner was asked to deposit 3 lakh 20 thousand rupees in connection with GST. In addition, he demanded Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand to release the vehicle and its contents. But the owner of the vehicle did not pay any money. Later Mr. Tripathi illegally sold the seized scrap to another businessman for 5 lakh 85 thousand. But he did not deposit this money in the government fund but committed himself. After making a complaint, Mr. Tripathi’s government residence in Bhubaneswar Unit-2, his father’s residence in Khurda Nirakarpur police station Padmapur, under construction farm house, flat in Jala North Mundmuhan and Patkura Yadupur village were raided simultaneously. During the raid, many important documents were seized. Vinay Bhushan has been arrested today.
